My name is John Leake and I purchased Finlen Warranty Processing from Bill Finlen, who was the founder in October of 2023. Bill and I share a lot of history in the automotive industry and our career paths have been nearly identical! Before purchasing the business I worked at a mid sized GM dealership. I started in the detail department in Highschool and worked my way through various positions at the dealership. I held positions in detail, sales, parts, and service giving me lots of dealership exposure. Most of my experience is based in the fixed operations, I took over warranty submissions for the dealership around 2010 and began absorbing repsonsibilites thereafter. In a few years time I became the Fixed Operations Director and made great strides in improving the dealership profitability. A few achomplisments I'm proud of from my time at the dealership would be creating an Amazon Store, tripling our parts sales, building out service processes for cleaner claims, and well exceeding the manufacture expectations for our store.
In my personal life I have built a real estate porfolio consisting of 9 properites and 20 units. I started with a small 4 unit that needed extensive restoration and was able to grow from there. My contractor is my business partner and brother, we are basically the property brother Jonathan and Daniel. He has been excellent support in buying properties that need work. Fixing something broken down or not working has always been a cornerstone of my success.
In both businesses I now run, taking care of those who use our services is the most important part of what we do. Working on your claims to get you every penny that we can and helping provide direction on how to improve your processes are minimum expectations you can hold us to! It is important to me that our dealer clients feel like partners and that we work together to find the best way to process your claims!
Ken- CDJR/Ford Team Supervisor
They say “always be yourself unless you can be Batman then be Batman.” And all I'm saying is that Batman and I have never been seen in the same room together. I am a jack of all trades at Finlen Warranty Processing, swooping in to help with IT issues and maintenance when needed. I am well versed not only in Ford and CDJR which is the team i'm responsible for but also know GM and back up there as well. I have been working for FWP for over ten years. I have three kids, who are a lot like me, future superheroes in their own right! In my spare time I enjoys jamming to music while cruising on my motorcycle, going to the gym, gaming, and watching horror flicks.
Ali- Warranty Admin CDJR/Ford
I have been a Warranty Administrator at Finlen Warranty Processing since May of 2022, specializing in Ford and Chrysler claims. I value the flexibility and collaborative enviroment that this role offers! In addition to my technical skills, I have developed strong relationships with my service managers and enjoy the opportunity to contribute to the company's growth.
Outside of work, I am passionate about outdoor activities, such as kayaking and attending Jeep events. I also enjoy cooking and spending time with my dog, Koda.
Marisa- Warranty Admin CDJR/Ford
My name is Marisa, and I have been a part of Finlen Warranty since February 2024. I thrive on the synergy of work and play, believing that effective communication and attention to detail are essential for success in submitting warranty claims.
Outside of my professional life, I am an animal lover who enjoys spending time with my dogs and cat. I find solace in nature, often going fishing to unwind and recharge. On weekends, you can find me at our local dirt track, reveling in the excitement of racing events.
With a playful spirit, I often use dark humor and sarcasm to keep the atmosphere light and enjoyable. I believe that laughter is a powerful tool that fosters connection and creativity.

Kim- Imports Team Supervisor
Some call me Mom, GG but most call me Kim. As an apprentice of Jesus, I wait eagerly for the day he calls me good and faithful servant. My personal goal is to walk more like Jesus every day. In my free time I enjoy seeing my 3 grown children, daughter in law, and their animals. I also enjoy spending time walking my pup Tootsie, going to the dog park, yoga, cards with family, and thrifting.
Those that know me well can attest to my dedication to warranty administration. My work is not only a job, it is a passion for me. I truly enjoy helping others learn how to submit warranty claims effectively. I pride myself on knowing what each manufacturer requires/allows while preparing our dealers to follow procedures that keep the dealer compliant. Protecting the dealer and collecting as much as possible for their warranty keeps me going. During my 10+ years at Finlen Warranty Processing my experience has ranged from domestic GM, Chevy, Ford and CDJR in my early years. Then transitioning primarily to Import Manufactures which include Acura/Honda, Hyundai/Genesis, Kia, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan/Infiniti, Toyota/Scion and Volkswagen.
No manufacture is off limits to our companies’ capabilities. We offer the opportunity for onsite dealer warranty training and are an outside perspective when viewing the dealers’ processes. This area of expertise is one that I hope to be able to expand in the future. We work hard at Finlen Warranty Processing to get your warranty paid like each vehicle is our own.

Hi there! My name is Lisa! I'm sure glad Finlen Warranty Processing found me! I've been working here since November of 2024. I am really enjoying learning all the processes and procedures and getting to know service managers, everyone has been great to work with!
I am the youngest of my siblings. I have two brothers and one sister. I have 4 nephews and one niece. And 6 great nieces and nephews and two more on the way! Family is something that is and has always been important to me. I have a teenage daughter who is the best kid anyone could ask for! I enjoy spending time with family any chance I get. When I'm not working I am spending time with my daughter. We enjoy doing outside activities like hiking, fishing, gardening anything outdoors when weather is nice and not -10°. When it's cold you can find me and my daughter doing crafts, puzzles, crocheting and reading books or going to the movies!

Being asked to talk about myself makes me feel like Ricky Bobby during his first interview “I’m not sure what to do with my hands” (I pray you understand that reference, lol)
I’ve been with my honey, Elijah for 10 years and we are proud parents to our fur babies: Willow, Charlie, Garfield, Hammie, and Deli. There is quite literally never a dull moment with those 5. We are also aspiring homesteaders who have the chicken coop to prove it!
In my free time I enjoy reading, video games, and crafting. I thoroughly enjoy making people laugh and help them not take life so seriously.

Hi, my name is Lindsey! I have been with Finlen Warranty for a couple years now, specializing in Imports and processing Hyundai, Toyota, and Kia. Before my journey as a Warranty Administrator, I worked in and studied the field of law while obtaining a degree in Sociology. I love to learn new things and make connections with people from all walks of life.
Professional life aside, I have two little boys. It is the highest honor in the world to be their mom. We spend a lot of time laughing, playing basketball, tossing the football around, and being active in any way we can. When I am not playing referee, I enjoy taking copious amounts of naps, watching standup comedy, listening to music, and participating in anything competitive.

Greetings! I’m Marie and I have been a part of Finlen Warranty Processing since December of 2023. I am presently doing imports, Hyundai, Genesis, Toyota, and Honda. In my previous life I was in healthcare for 36 years. As we all know, healthcare has its own set of challenges and after Covid it was time for a change.
I am one of 5 children, one of those is my twin sister. Yes, we look alike. I have 3 children and 4 grandchildren. Had I known grandchildren were this much fun I would have had more children. That is so not true.
When I am not spending time with my family, I can probably be found outside. I enjoy all things gardening and enjoy all the yard work.
I look forward to the unique opportunity of working in the warranty field. I may be a newbie, but I have a wealth of knowledge that I can tap into with my peers here at Finlen. I am excited to help in any way that I can, if I do not know the answer, I will find it. We are always just a phone call away.
Meagan- GM Team Supervisor
Hi! I’m Meagan and I have been a part of Finlen Warranty Processing since 2018. I am currently the GM Team Supervisor but also have processing experience with Ford, Chrysler, and some Imports. Prior to being a Warranty Administrator, I attended Eureka College where I received my bachelor’s in Sociology/Psychology. I spent over 10 years as a mental health counselor before switching tracks to warranty processing.
I am married to a math teacher and we have two boys who constantly keep us on our toes. When I’m not working or chasing after kiddos, I enjoy reading, baking, or anything else that does not require me to go outdoors.

I began working for Finlen Warranty in September 2021. This was my return to warranty processing-- my first office position, was as a warranty administrator for GM lines at a dealership in Pontiac, IL. Being a warranty administrator was much different then, as the year was 1980!
After that, I spent most of my working career in Long Term Care in the clerical department with my last position as a Medicare/Medicaid Biller.
My husband and I have been married for 45 years and enjoy our life together. A favorite pastime of ours is watching movies together. We also like to go antiquing! We have many collections and enjoy adding our findings to them.
I enjoy spending time with my family. We have two children and 11 grandchildren. We are enjoying raising our granddaughter. She adds so much joy to our lives.

Brian- Warranty Admin GM
Hi, my name is Brian! As a faithful follower of Jesus, I put my hope and trust in him to guide me every day through this journey in life. My personal goal is to grow more and more everyday in my walk with him.
In my time off I like to enjoy golf cart rides around town with my dog Milo. If I am not cruising in the golf cart and yes, I use it in the winter (I have a cover and a heater) I like to take rides on my Harley and clear my head when the weather permits. Nope, no cover for the motorcycle and no side cart yet for Milo to go with yet.
I have been with Finlen warranty for about year, and I submit claims for General Motors. I have been in the automotive industry my whole life. I started off as an Automotive technician for Volkswagen and Audi and performed that job for 20 years. During my time spent at automotive dealers I have performed every job duty that exists. After being a tech, I was a warranty administrator for Volkswagen/Audi, Parts Counter Person, Parts Manager, Service Writer, etc. I also worked for our owner, John, in his previous dealership role. I managed and grew an Amazon store for the dealership. I also worked at State Farm as a Total Loss representative for automotive claims and assisting in getting claims paid in a timely manner.

Erin- Warranty Admin GM
Warranty Administrator by day, novelist by night, mom to a stubborn little boy all the time, Erin has been submitting GM warranty for the past seven years. She attended Monmouth College and graduated with a bachelor’s in Biopsychology. Before working at Finlen Warranty she was a Veterinary Assistant, a Doggy Day Camp Counselor, a librarian and a candymaker.
I have been with Finlen Warranty since 2024 as a Warranty Administrator! I come from a six year medial field/healthcare background. That experience has translated well to my position here as there are a lot of detail oriented pieces to both positions!
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my three children and my husband. I also enjoy reading, playing cards, watching movies, going shopping, and trying new things, especially food!
